Black mold in your air conditioner is hazardous!

Installation and Repairs
FUSE Service Palm Beach conducted a detailed inspection of an air conditioning system in Royal Palm Beach, FL, and identified the following issues:

· A clogged condensate drain line.

· A damaged control cable between the thermostat and evaporator coil.

· A malfunctioning UV sterilization system for the evaporator coil.

The technicians performed several repairs. They cleared the drain system by removing outdated components and replacing them with a new P-trap per Florida State Codes to improve water flow. They also applied chemical treatments to the drain pan to prevent future clogs caused by bacterial buildup.

During the replacement of the faulty UV lamp, black mold was found on the lamp and evaporator coil walls, indicating a prolonged issue with excess humidity. The UV lamp and transformer were replaced, and an additional module was added for easy monitoring, alerting the homeowner when the lamp needed to be replaced.

An inspection window was installed on the evaporator unit, allowing quick checks of the UV light's functionality and lifespan.

To fix the thermostat wiring issue, the damaged section of the control cable was replaced, and the thermostat was securely reinstalled with improved wall mounting using specialized drywall anchors.

Please keep in mind your health and order air conditioner maintenance at least once every six months.
