Fuse got an emergency call on Friday evening. Imagine the manager's horror when the restaurant is full of guests, a line of hungry customers at the entrance, and your air conditioning goes out in the kitchen. And there's a cash weekend ahead! This situation is one of the worst nightmares of all restaurant managers in Florida.

On Friday night, our technicians were on their way to relax with a beer, but the customer had to be saved, so they put on their superhero capes and went to the rescue. AC did not work.

FUSE found the condenser coil on the roof. It had prepared for Christmas ahead of schedule and was covered in ice. This indicated an apparent problem with the indoor unit. When FUSE technicians opened the evaporator coil, they found it covered in ice. To diagnose the issue, they first defrosted the parts. When everything melted, the specialists saw a marvelous picture: the air conditioner was 100% clogged with dust, dirt, and fumes from the kitchen. Radiator cells were separated together with dirt. The reason is – the complete absence of filters in the system.

Conclusion for the reader and air conditioner user: Filters are needed!

If there are no filters, the AC falls into disrepair. The restaurant owner needs a complete evaporator replacement because this one went with Horon to cross the River Styx. But, if you change a few dollars worth of filters regularly, you can avoid breakdowns costing several thousand.

After cleaning off the ice, FUSE got the system working again, but only temporarily. Surgery is needed here, and cosmetics won't help.

The wisest thing to do is to sign a service contract with FUSE to avoid stress and problems with your air conditioner that can arise at any time.
